Lilla Charlotte Stokes married John Charles Webb, the brother of Harry Webb - postmaster and photographer. John died early 1900's and Lilla came to Stradbroke to live with the family bringing with her two of their three sons from the marriage. One of those sons, Alfred C Webb is remembered with honour on the village war memorial.
