In Memory of Private Charles Aldous of 7th Btn. Suffolk Regiment who died on 9th August 1917 at the age of 24.

Private Aldous was the son of Charles and Rose Aldous and husband to Eliza nee Mutimer. He was brother to 4 siblings, one of whom pre-deceased him. He grew up in Stradbroke and on the 1911 census return the family are in Church street. He is single and said to be a Warehouse man and his father, a horseman on a farm. After his marriage he moved to Long Row Cottages, Barlow Green.
